IMPORTANT NEW INFO I am happy to announce that Gravity Physiotherapy will be moving to a new location in Vernon!

As of January 1, 2026, I will be relocating to Unit #303, 2520 53rd Avenue, Vernon. This new 2500 sq ft space will allow me to expand our services to include additional Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, and Registered Massage Therapists. We will also feature a 400 sq ft gym for exercise rehabilitation and sports-specific testing.

This new location will enable us to better serve the growing demand for quality one-on-one manual therapy, complemented by a strong foundation of exercise therapy.

We look forward to welcoming you to our new clinic!

The goal of physiotherapy is to return you to your optimum function and strength, while providing you with the knowledge to continue independently for management and injury prevention. Derek has been providing physiotherapy to the Vernon and surrounding areas for over 10 years, with a combined experience as a Kinesiologist for over 15 years. Using a strong focus on manual therapy combined with exercise to meet a variety of rehabilitation needs ranging from sports injuries to post operative injuries. A diverse skill set that also includes IMS/Dryneedling, Acupuncture, Kinesiology & concussion rehabilitation.

Derek Geldrich Physiotherapist MScPT, B.Kin, CAFCI, IMS

Derek graduated from the University of Alberta in 2009 with his Masters degree in Physiotherapy. His prior education in Kinesiology provided valuable time and experience to understand how important functional and rehabilitation exercise is and has been a key foundation of his success with clients. To further his skills Derek is certified in Acupuncture, dryneedling/IMS, concussion rehab and advanced training in manual therapy.

His interests in sports rehabilitation can be be seen in the multitude of involvement with junior sports leagues throughout Vernon. Derek provides onsite physiotherapy for the Vernon Tigers Jr. B Lacrosse team and Vernon Vipers Jr. A Hockey Club organizations. In addition, he has presented exercise training seminars for the Vernon Rowing Club U19 BC rowing camps.

Growing up in Rossland BC with mountains at his doorstep Derek has a lifetime enjoyment of downhill skiing and mountain biking. He can also be found rowing out on Swan Lake.
